{"id":2635,"date":"2020-06-22T17:10:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-22T15:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fondazionesfera.org\/senza-categoria\/our-life-at-maison-de-paix-during-lockdown\/"},"modified":"2026-05-22T16:36:58","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T14:36:58","slug":"our-life-at-maison-de-paix-during-lockdown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fondazionesfera.org\/en\/projects-update\/our-life-at-maison-de-paix-during-lockdown\/","title":{"rendered":"Our Life at Maison de Paix During Lockdown"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sister Rachele&#8217;s Account<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dearest friends,<br\/>we wish to share with all of you our experience of these months that have seen us confined at home, yet with hearts and minds open to living alongside so many brothers and sisters through this particular moment in our history, the pandemic that has affected the entire world.<br\/><br\/>In an instant we found ourselves confined at home, deprived of contact with the outside world; at first this<br\/>did not seem difficult, but then, with the absence of daily Mass, the joyful Sunday celebrations in the Parish, our poor, dear little parish, located in a shed made of planks and straw, the cries of our schoolchildren who still ask their parents today when we will start again\u2026<br\/>in short, this situation was beginning to weigh heavily, but our fraternal life, the formation of our young sisters, the need to encourage and support them, made us resume our journey and with great enthusiasm we got back on track and continued our life with our spiritual and fraternal commitments.<br\/><br\/>During this period that continues for us, even though in Kikwit there have been no cases of contagion so far, we strive to live and make the most of the time to strengthen our fraternal and spiritual life, to maintain contact\u2014blessed WhatsApp!\u2014with the Sisters far away who are living in dangerous situations, with friends who never fail to show us their affection and interest in our Mission\u2026to all of you our fraternal thanks! <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/>We hope that this time of suffering and separation may soon end, so we can return to the precious activities that so many people are waiting for.<br\/><br\/>Sister Rachele Basilico<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sister Rachele&#8217;s Account Dearest friends,we wish to share with all of you our experience of these months that have seen us confined at home, yet with hearts and minds open to living alongside so many brothers and sisters through this particular moment in our history, the pandemic that has affected the entire world.
