Study Seminar October 16-17, 2025

SFERA is pleased to invite you to two days of study and discussion on “New Scenarios in International Cooperation,” a crucial theme for building the common good and overcoming injustices and economic imbalances.

The Study Seminar, entitled “Culture of Encounter for a Pact of Civilization,” is promoted in collaboration with the Observatory for Education and International Cooperation (OPECI), the UNESCO Chair for Education in Human Development and Solidarity among Peoples at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, and will be held in Brescia on October 16 and 17, 2025.

On Thursday, October 16, the sessions will focus on the Assessment of International Cooperation and New Scenarios, analyzing challenges, potential, and the role of international organizations. An important focus will be dedicated to a perspective on Africa, with in-depth examinations of the “Mattei Plan for Africa” and the “Africa Plan” (UCSC).

Friday, October 17 will be dedicated to defining areas, strategies, and development pathways for a new era of cooperation. Activities will include Study Groups to develop projects, create collaborative networks, and train leaders.

The closing session will feature a Public Session and a Round Table entitled “International Cooperation for a ‘Pact of Civilization,'” which will be held on Friday, October 17 at 5:00 PM at the evocative Vanvitelliano Hall of Palazzo Loggia, Piazza della Loggia, 1 in Brescia.

The meeting, moderated by Dr. Fabio Tamburini, Director of Il Sole 24ore, will feature presentations by distinguished figures. The sessions will be held primarily in Lecture Hall 2 of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Via della Garzetta, 48 – Brescia.

You are all invited to participate in this important opportunity for reflection and proposal.

To attend in person, registration is recommended by October 14. All contact details can be found on the poster.
