Inzo ya Ngemba: not only a “House of Peace,” but a journey toward the future in the heart of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
In N’dunga, within the savannah surrounding Kikwit, international cooperation is evolving. Here, across eleven hectares of red earth, Fondazione Sfera does not simply “bring aid,” but cultivates Development alongside a community that has chosen to stay and flourish. Maison de Paix is the concrete demonstration of our vision: we analyze the territory’s fragilities to act with precision, learning every day from the field to refine our research.

Beyond Emergency: A Structural Response
The territory of Kikwit challenges daily life: torrential rains and sandy soil create erosions that swallow roads and hopes. In this scenario, Maison de Paix is a safe harbor for its community. It is a place of Welcoming that becomes stability, offering essential services where before there was only uncertainty.
The Impact of "Lusadisu": Support that Liberates
The effectiveness of Fondazione Sfera is shown through the concreteness of the results achieved. Through Lusadisu — aid that supports without creating dependency — we have reached milestones that speak of shared Responsibility.
Longuka: Studying to Be Free
Education and Training are the beating heart of Maison de Paix.
We do not limit ourselves to transmitting notions; we build awareness.
- A Bridge of Knowledge: Italian university professors and local teachers work side by side. This is an equal exchange: we bring advanced teaching methodologies, while they teach us resilience and the richness of Congolese culture.
- Global Citizenship: Every lesson is a brick for the Global Compact on Education. We form open minds, capable of dreaming beyond the boundaries of the village.

Mambuma: The Fruits of a Beloved Land
We value the vital bond between people and their land, the Ntoto, because we believe in development as integral ecology.
- Food Security: With new irrigation systems, we challenge the dry season to ensure that Mambuma (fruits) are never missing from families’ tables.
- Rural Innovation: We introduce agricultural technologies and machinery as tools placed in the hands of local farmers to redeem their labor and produce well-being.
Kimvuka: The Strength of Acting Together
At Maison de Paix, aid is transformed into Kimvuka (acting together/community): a strategic alliance where the beneficiaries of the work are the true architects of their own progress.
Management is entrusted to the local association Maison de Paix ASBL — in constant dialogue with authorities and village chiefs — because no one can know the path better than those who walk it every day.
“Mbote na beno! (May joy be with you!)”
We are not here to write the history of this community, but to provide the ink so that every man and woman of N’dunga can write their own, with dignity and pride.
